I was initially drawn to physical therapy in high school. A severe ankle sprain forced me to sit out both field hockey and basketball seasons. This was my introduction to physical therapy. After recovery, I volunteered at Temple Sports Medicine and was blessed to work with an amazing physical therapist who had a dramatic effect on my life. As college approached, I was fortunate that College Misericordia recruited me to play both field hockey and softball. It was my mom who suggested I pursue physical therapy and it turned out to be the perfect fit.
After graduating, I began coaching at LaSalle and leapt into private practice. Private practice allowed me to take the time to see and treat people the way I felt they should be treated. As the practice grew, so did my responsibilities but my passion for high-quality care remained unwavered. I’ve always held myself to the same high standards that patients should expect from a health care professional. Safe, healthy, long-term patient recovery is as important to me as it is to everyone that walks through my door. In 2013, I opened Driving Force Softball Strength & Conditioning for female athletic training. Looking to focus on physical therapy, in 2016 I opened Davis Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab, transitioning Driving Force into a strength & conditioning program under Davis PTSR. I’ve worked at both large and small practices and draw positive learnings from both experiences. My journey as a player, coach and physical therapist give me a unique perspective on treatment. I look forward to serving athletes and non-athletes alike in this patient-focused practice.
Davis PTSR delivers high-caliber physical therapy treatment to clients of all ages, and specializes in the care of female athletes. Our patients receive focused attention and hands-on care during every visit. We get to know our patients’ histories and goals to deliver a customized treatment plan. We use a team approach with you and your physician. Your time with us is valuable. It will be focused on your goals and never wasted.
Treatments we use include but are not limited to:
-Functional Movement System (FMS) to assist with baseline assessment for athletes
-Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) for treatment of soft tissue injuries
-Manual Resistive Exercises (MREs) utilize manual resistance to strengthen in functional movement patterns. By using our hands on approach to strengthening, we can control the amount of force being placed through your muscles - more or less -
-Neuromuscular re-education when you are injured, the signals from your brain to your muscles are interrupted. They need to be re-trained, re-educated, to get back on track.
-Dynamic training to correct movement patterns - basketball, softball, field hockey, soccer - we rehab you to the fullest to get you back on the field / court.
-Sport specific recovery and training.
Dr. Davis will perform a thorough evaluation which includes extensive history, physical examination, education on current condition, development of your goals, treatment planning and home exercise program. You will leave with a plan and homework. Each visit will be a reassessment of how things are going - better, worse or the same? The answer will drive the content for your visit. If you can do it at home, why would you come see us? Your time with us is valuable. We will use it wisely.
Athletes dealing with sports injuries all have one thing in common - the season doesn’t end when you get hurt. Players want to play. End of discussion. We want our players to play, but we also want them to be safe. Whether it's softball, baseball, basketball, field hockey, football or any one of a dozen other sports, we work with each patient to customize both a treatment and return-to-play plan. Our goal is to make you stronger and healthier.
We do it better. We do it smarter. And we do it faster.
Before her professional career, Dr. Davis was an athlete. She took various approaches to sports injury treatment. She has been through the rehabilitation process after field hockey, basketball and softball injuries. Dr. Davis had shoulder surgery in graduate school after her athletic career ended so she didn’t miss any playing time.
She understands what you’re going through, and having been through multiple recovery processes, can recommend the best treatment plan for you.
Not all post-operative rehabilitation is the same. Our approach is different. Why?
We have a unique perspective on treating post-surgical cases because we’ve spent time in operating rooms observing surgeries. We’ve also participated in surgical rounds to get to know local surgeons and understand their protocols. We study the latest research.
Our experience gives us an understanding of various injuries and allows us to create a rehab program specifically for you. As part of the rehab process, we’ll adjust your therapy based on your progress. We’ll provide education about your injury to help you successfully complete therapy and avoid future complications. And we’ll stay in touch with your surgical team to make sure you’re recovery stays on track.

Experiencing pain? Exercise alone may not address generalized pain. We’ll conduct a thorough examination and work with your physician to determine the source of your pain whether it’s chronic or acute.
Knowing where the pain occurs isn’t the same as understanding why it’s happening. For instance, if you suffer from back pain, the reason could be as simple as lifting from the waist or as complicated as running incorrectly. We won’t know until we investigate the source of your pain.
Based on the outcome of your examination, we’ll create a plan together that will address your needs and update it as you progress through recovery.
Common joint pain treated include:
Arthritis
-Osteo
-Rheumetoid
Anterior Knee Pain
Back Pain
Hip Pain
Neck Pain
